Yep i'm thinking of doing this for my daytime minutes.
And for off-peak and text... O2 have a deal on their website, "1000 off-peak xnet minutes & 1000 texts" this is only £25 a month. Not a bad combo i think.
A Few questions about the mercury thing:
1) What network will it be on?
2) Can I use a solo card to do it, with out them taking a deposit on top of the £50/90 upfront fee?

dont understand about them taking a deposit on top ya up front payment (its actualy 60/100 now mentioned it earlier) not sure what cards you need you obviously have to take out a direct debit so they can charge you each month if you go over ya 200mins. it would be very rare if i use 200mins so thats not a problem for me, think its tmobile hope that answers your questions

so its a set amount of money for lets say 2 years that they take upfront, then they dont take anything out of ur account if u go over?

I understand you get 200Xnet minutes every month free... but if you go over you have to pay, hence setting up the direct debit incase.

Just gave Mercury a quick call... They're on T-mobile (perfect for me) and have currently stopped taking orders because of high demand, but the website will be updated when they will beging takng them again.
