Regardless... I have had the exact same problem. I got thrown into a pool at a party, where the drinks flew freely. I had my phone dried up (removed the cover, cleaned and dried the phone), and let it sit on top of my tv for 4 days. Everything worked perfectly, but my microphone was jammed/broken, which i guess is the same problem u have.
I tok it too a SP and never told about the fact that it went for a swimm, and they simply replaced the microphone inside. Voila.
