yo man, my SE w800i did exactly the same thing. overheated in my pocket, i dint even have it in a case or anything, ever got it wet at all. only had it a few months as well. i tried a m8s battery and it worked so i went out and bought a new battery, after 10 mins the fone and battery overheated as well, and then that battery was rendered useless so im guessing theres probably a faulty batch of w800's going around.
what have you done with yours? did they replace it?

Same thing happened to my SE V600i. The phone is getting warm inside my pocket, and the battery drain out within 10-12 hours! Already sent to repair, but due to some reason, they still haven't return back after 2 weeks. Guess that's the disadvantage of buying AP phone.
