marltang you are quite wrong. There are several ways to change it.
1. Davinci or a firmware flash service debranding - by debranding you lose the vodafone icons and get generic SE icons.
2. SETOOL or similar. This is commecial software that gives you access to the phones file system and the ability to change settings in the firmware without flashing the whole firmware file.
Neither are FREE, but both are possible.

you can replace existing icons with png files using the force to filesystem feature. There is a tutorial on gsmhosting
http://www.gsmhosting.com/vbb/archive/index.php/t-195600.html
You can also flash a branded firmware over a non-branded (and hence change the icons).
So infact you can change icons from non-branded to branded versions, despite you claiming twice that "it's not possible".

Oh i dig this, Great stuff!
I so do enjoy this forum! It's where NOTHING's impossible, I'm sure you lot could even find a way to unlock an Intel processor!
Question:
If using W800 firmware is possible on K750,
Does W800 have "minimize" function while transferring file via bluetooth?
And:
Is it hardware stopping the bluetooth from faster tranferring speeds?
I've searched the esato search thingy, to no avail, apologies if this is a repeat topic
Thanks

Try pressing "up" joystick while file is transferring. Up joystick is the activity menu command while in standby so it may not work while transferring. If not, you could also try pressing the music player button, then when media player comes up exit it and see if it goes back to standby screen instead of file transfer message. I'm not hopeful about that but it's worth a try.
RE: Bluetooth speed, the serial emulation on the K750 is the culprit (it also limits cable speeds). Bluetooth max. transfer speed is 721Kbps, bluetooth EDR (2.0) max speed is 2.1Mbps. Bluetooth speed on the serial emulation of K750 and other SE fastport phones is roughly .3Mbps.
USB cable speed is roughly 2.5-3Mbps.

The "Up" nor any other button works.
I'm sad when someone is able to browse my files and be able to minimise their D600 functions while i sit and twiddle my thumbs.
Would you reckon Any SE technicians/programmers come to these forums to see what us, the people, want?!
It's no use trying to get their attention via ClientCare services.
Any ideas for future firmware upgrades?
I'm still on the R1AA008 software, checking if anyone has problems with it before i stick my on the cable and reluctantly turn it off.

there is a bit of a cable transfer bug with R1AA (see firmware thread)
Unfortunantly the W800 behaviour on activity menu is poorly thought out. It's part of SE's strategy to mark the W phones as walkman, and camera phones as camera. Personally I think they should have had an extra button which on W800 is a media button and on K750 a button for starting the camera when the slider is already open (for example if you use a case where the slider has to stay open).

well of course u can change it by branding it back...if u can do it by unbranding it u can do it by branding it. but y would u want to brand it? unless someone can change it and show it, i'll still say its not possible to change the icons by flashing without branding or unbranding.

mate you can think what you like but it is possible to change icons with se tool. There is no menu option that says "change icons". You do it by force copying files of the correct name into the location where menu icons are stored. They are png images. you then restart the phone. If you do a master reset it puts back the original icons, so if you had to master reset you'd need to recopy the icons. Nevertheless, it's a method.
Plus some dude said he WANTED the branded icons, so don't ask me why they want crappy icons, but that's what they asked for.
