I say it's my phone's pre-setted beeper, which beeps in every 20sec.

I'd say it's unlikely to be changed because in the UK it's illegal to record someone without their knowledge and I believe it's the case in most european countries...don't know about any others but it is classed as a breach of human rights.

I was about to write just about the same thing. Here in Sweden it is also illegal.

you can get an application called call recorder i think but its for symbian phones only

I had a Nokia N-Gage QD before i got my SE W800i. I had tried every possible app on it. i tried some 4-5 different call recorders. each of them beeped at regular intervals. even my cordless phone (landline) beeps when recording calls. its just a privacy thing.

i was majorly irritated with this until a friend of mine tried to record a my call. i realized it because i could hear the beeping. Believe me, it feels very very offensive when someone tries to record YOUR call...
