I got an email last night confirming my order has been upgraded to 1.83ghz for free and that it will ship on time today.
Thanks for the heads up Jools, don't think it has been dispatched yet, hopefully will get it on Friday.
Yippeeeeeeeee!!!
EDIT: Nooooooooooo they have changed the date to shipped by February 28th and delivered by March 2nd.

This is a bit of a random question but when buying a mac is it worth it to get the AppleCare Protection Plan?

I would if you can afford it, i'm not getting it as i cannot afford it
You do get the standard 1 year warranty anyway, so if anything goes wrong in 1 year you covered but screwed if it is after a year.

It's the Apple Remote which is used with Front Row to remotely control iTunes, DVDs, iPhoto, Presentations etc.
http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/frontrow.html
It also comes with the new iMacs, and can be used with an iPod with Universal Dock.
