the avatar gets more visible until you have 50 posts at which time it is fully visible. (But that doesn't mean you should post garbage to get to that level as some do )

I still have a P800 but don't use it much. I've been right through the P series range but this is more for nostalgia.

I also expect to have it along side my P990 (when I get one) when posting some pics and maybe even a review

@Boinng fantastic post and an interesting read !!!
im actualy thinking to stay with the p800 after all the posts in here mem to me is not such a prob i have all the apps i need with c still 9.5mb free !
seems to me that the only reason to upgrade is the screen (which i have to admit is so much better on the p9 upwards) but saying that the p8 screen does its job and does it very well !i think realy only se have a phone out on the market that has realy stood the test of time , i know their is the nokia communicators etc but i personaly feel that even they have not stood the test of time quite as well as the p800, i know their is the case of os getting higher and higher in new phones which makes it another reason to upgrade as say with the p800 not all new apps etc are compatable but again on the flip side most of if not all the apps you can ever need or want are their already for the p800 i think it fantastic that so many people still use the p8 with pride it will be interesting to see just how many hence the reason for my post !!!!
(sorry for my spelling lol)

@dave29

I still use my p800 on daily basis even though I also own a p910i for about a year now. I recently installed TT5 on it after getting that for the p910i and it runs fine with the standard benelux-map on it and the bluetooth gps receiver. There are a couple of dead pixels in each corner and sides of the screen, but it still works like a charm after about 3 years of heavy usage and it hardly lets me down. I was even thinking of refurbishing the whole unit, but the mineral grey housing is kind of hard to find (so maybe I'll just paint it) and for those costs I would be better off buying a new p910i or a new p990.

To be quite honest, I still like the "My Fisrt Sony" look the p800 has got.

Here's a picture of my "old" p800 with some other "old" phones I still use from time to time

Hmm never knew there are two different org casings for P900 (if the one on the "multipicture" is org, that is)
I have posted a link and maybe a picture - I'm not sure how to post pictures... and if you look at the top there are differences where the Sony Ericsson is printed...
I have the casing on the link and do not have any cracks where the flip hits - is that also the case with the other casing?

@ dave29

TT5=Tomtom mobile 5, sorry about that.

The two t68's in the picture were actually an arctic blue t68i (left) and a lunar grey t68m/i (right). The old lunar grey t68m housing was broken after a fall and the keypad was worn out so I bought a new t68i mineral grey housing for it with the original t68m keypad. After that I just swapped parts from one phone to the other, like the keypads and the upper body of both facias and the result is in the picture. The reason for doing this was that they didn't have the adriatic blue t68i housing and keypad in stock at that time.

And I don't think that the t68m was the first colour phone, but probably the first colour phone with bluetooth. I think Siemens beat SE to it.

@delicios - Nice collection pal ! Why are you not using the keypad (flips) of your P8 and P910i mate

IMHO the P800 flip is almost useless :| It breaks quite easily (the small supporting parts on the sides -> those ones which support it above the screen surface) and it scratches the screen (raw touch-screen-touching ).

Regarding the P910 flip - I use it sometimes;) When I'm bored with it - I remove it

(yes, I know that was not question I was supposed to ansfer;) )

@tb - Depends on how careful you are with the keypads I guess mate. Also, if ever the keypad flip is removed, can you still LOCK the fone? I know that there's a setting for it, but how can you 'manually' activate/de-activate it when the keypad flip is removed . . . . ?
