The screen now shows the same image as previously although it shows almost continually.

Well not yet because I kinda snapped the jog dial cable when dismantling, I've got another on order from EBay (Gotta LOVE that site!) will try that when it's delivered.
Is the hard reset the same as the master reset option?

had that problem on my P800, tried resetting and even openning the unit to check for loose connection. After months, the LCD finally died on me.

Have now tried Hard reset after refitting a new jog dial...still no luck. I am beginning to fear the worst!!!!
Any further positive ideas?
