thats the message i get...
it pops-up when i click on my D: drive via windows explorer...It has an assortment of files on there which i want to transfer off.

and if u have norton installed?
and sometimes you need to install a driver for your dvd drive since its win 2k.

I was thinking about finding a driver and instaling it. But im afraid it would mess things up if i already have on installed and my drive is just not capable of reading that format of DVD.
Anyway of cheking whether or not i have the correct drivers installed?

Also..try downloading a nifty little tool called Driver detective & run it...itll tell you if there are any drivers on your machine that need updating

got that programme
ran it
it found some drivers that needed updating, i.e video card, scanner etc etc
but nothing was mentioned about CD/DVD drive

EDIT: ok tired that.. didnt work
Also clicked went through my driver list and selected the NEC 5700A drive. Clicked update driver but it said ialready have a suitable driver installed.... hmmm
