Hmm, I don't need about $1000 dollars worth of other extraneous items.

I totally agree ! That's why I just got me a 7.1 MP digicam . . . With regards to this digicam thing, I saw a brochure of Canon stating that: Digicams having a - 4,5,6 & 7 megapixels 'does not' differ much from one another when it comes to picture clarity/quality . . . then there's quite a huge jump when gettin' an 8 MP one . . . then 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 MP digicams also looks the SAME (picture clarity/quality) . . . then a huge jump again when gettin' a 16 MP one . . . and so on . . .
