Seriously, by the sounds of it your PC needs to be looked at in the workshop. I'd guess that it's almost certainly a hardware problem from what you are describing. As I said before, by this stage I'd be swapping bits in and out to try and solve the problem, if you haven't got the bits to do it you're a bit stuck

Just one thing though, you did unplug all peripherals like printers, USB modems etc. before you reinstalled?

yea i unplugged all things. i really think its the hard drive.

Might just chuck it all away and buy a new pc tommorow.

Restore the bios, there should be a "manufacturer restore" option, restart and check if it detects the hd and cd/dvd drive.

For some reason I could not reformat my HD and each reinstallation would shrink free HD space.So I used a free HD wipe program which fits on a floppy and completely wipes the HD,OS and all. This message was posted from a K700i
