Is there a thing like 3d high intensity, graphically taxing games for macs?

I think it is really weird whether i have just had a bad experience i just don't know i read about people who never have any trouble with pc's and the others like me that have nothing but.
Is there a set procedure everyone should follow, things you should and things you shouldnt apart from the obvious.
What did i do wrong that others didn't, i tried, norton, avg, spybot search and destroy, zone alarm all of them and i still had problems?

@ solid - this is one thing I will never understand, why do people play games on computers? Yeh its fine to play a bit of sudku or sumin but what the hell are xboxes and playstaions for? But if you were to play counterstraike on one I would imagine they would go quite well as they have fast processores, and good graphics cards, along with upgradable ram etc

i currently have a 2.6ghz amd 64, but it is the equivalent of a 3.4ghz pentium, the clock speeds dont matter at all , its the type of processor
thats why when you buy an amd pc, it will say 3400xp plus rather than the clock speed because it will be 2. x ghz

ive no real problems with mac , ive never owned one had a play on them over the years.
one thing i have noticed with them is the diffculty to upgrade hardware, with a pc if i want a better graphics card or processor it a 30s job to do it.
this never struck me as the case with a mac (thoughi could be totally wrong)
on the security side there bound to be more secure as less people and companies use them so for viruses etc why both when your going to impact on such a s small number of people.
the secutiry side reminds me of firefox for ages everyone though it was so secure so more and more people started using it and what happens then loads of flaws are found in it.
but that aside they do look the part compared with most pcs

I would be happy to try out that game on my macbook and see what it is like i am not a gamer really so i doubt i could shed much light on the speed or anything but i could give it ago.

luke people play games on PCs because you can use a mouse and keyboard, and its mainly for single player, xboxs and ps2s are for multiplayer really.
also you cant play strategy games like age of empires without a mouse really
missc - that game wouldnt work on a mac at all

I second whizkid, apart from ms blaster, there has been no major virus infection on the comp, there could be viruses on the comp, but it hardly interferes on the business, i have not formateed the comp for more than 2 years, got good old 98 and xp on dual boot, plus the system restore is quite handy when you accidently screw up a program.
I have the ZoneAlarm firewall, whch i quite like, because i can set permission for the programs to access the internet, because some of them like to do an update by itself.

also, xbox and ps2 dont offer the graphics a pc can offer, because PCs are HD as standard, and nearly everyone has a pc whereas fewer people have ps2s n xboxs etc
