The W700i does not have AD2P. You can flash your K750i with the W700i software but it wont work properly. the main problem would be the camera as the W700i has a different camera to the K750i and W800i.

that's far less likely. No EDGE, differences in the screen etc. It'd be interesting to try.

On my site http://www.robertwebbe.nl/A2DP.html I accidently wrote that W700i was supporting A2DP, this is NOT the case.

I do not know how this mistake come to the page, probably it was (too) late and I didn't put enough attention to it.

I am very sorry! In the mean time I have corrected the page already.

By thw way, I test A2DP stuff for my work and the page is update daily (if a new device comes in).

Robert

yes,EDGE is a problem, but isnt the resolution of the both the screens same and capable of displaying same amount of colours,so i guess it wont be a problem.
It would be intresting if someone could patch w810 fw.

Hey Robert, thanks for the heads up about the mistake - I was losing a lot of sleep to it hah. So has the topic transitioned to w810i flashing? Sounds interesting, but the issue of button mapping would probably be the most prominent problem.

No, the screens use different technology (same colours, same resolution, different technology.) Might work, but probably not is my guess.

And the keypad is radically different - though it may be possible to just transplant a keyboard itself from the w810 on to a K750, and use the W810 fascia and keypad.

Really, my biggest doubt is the screen.

yes, there might be a problem with keys also.but i dont think we should have any problem with screen, both have same no of pixels and resolution and same kind of screen.I belive the display is programmed per pixels,so there shouldnt be a problem.

Yes the pixels are the same, yes the colours are the same, but you might as well say the motorola V600 display could pop in there since it is 176x220. There is more to a screen than it's resolution and number of colours.

For example you cannot effectively run T630 software on the T610, even though the only hardware difference in the two phones is the display itself (same cpu/gpu, and the display has same resolution, but different design). The T630 software will run, but the display doesn't work. Pretty useless.

These are the differences from what I can tell (w810 over k750):

Hardware screen differences
Light Sensor for screen saving
EDGE
Extra key and different key mappings.
D-pad
No camera shutter or shutter switch
20MB User memory (compared to 38MB)

I don't reckon it's gonna be worthwhile even if display works, since you lose W800's active lense cover, possibly some internal memory, button assignments may be off, one button short, joystick may not work at all, lack of EDGE may impair radio completely or for gprs use, and you won't get the display light sensor.

Missing hardware may also cause the w810 software on K750 to crash often.

But that said, I'm all for someone trying, but won't be attempting it myself unless I get a spare K750
