Apple is really quick to correct any bugs.
As for the notepad problem, I did spot it but I wish people wouldn't spoil threads until it's gone on for a bit.

dont think it is a bug with the sentence as it doesnt do it if you copy and paste the same sentence (as thats what i did 1st time)

The bug only happens the first time you try to open the file after saving it. After that, notepad guesses the encoding correctly.
