really? I don't see anything on the SE pages stating that officially

surely all they have to do is provide an SEUS update rather than going to the cost of getting them back?

where did you see that?

edit: or do you mean the distributors are supposed to return them to

Yeah I meant that.
They probably realized too late that the phone is not in a releasable state so quite a few got out. At least thats what I think.

This has the be the buggiest phone I've ever owned. I always buy phone right when they come out on the market and today I had to pull the battery out 4 times to restart. My problem is with messaging. Since this is suppose to be a business phone, I find this unacceptable.

I have to pull the battery to unfreeze mine all the time. I'm using a Cingular 3G sim. I usually happens after downloading some e-mail messages from an smtp server. This is with the R1B01 firmware which I believe is the latest one.

Even if they don't have 3G, they are using 3G sims. When I updated my phone last time they took my old sim and gave me a 3G sim.

hello M600i community

I just bought mine from Abu Dhabi and although it has been stable so far, I am witnessing a weird bug.

I can't turn off power save mode. whatever I do, the screen will totaly shuts down after the 10seconds or so when its being lit. the only way to keep it on is to leave the backlight on, but this kills the battery.

soft version R1B01

also, when making a call, the screen sometimes flickers...

Finally, I cant upgrade my PC to XP SP2 for work related reasons. Do you know a way to synchronize it through another software compatible with XP sp1?

Thanks
lance

Do a search on this forum to fix the power ae issue... involves set Auto to on and using Power safe etc...

Screen flicker seems normal...

Hi!

I seriously thinking of buying an SE M600i phone. In fact, I have the phone beside me in an yet unopened retail box and have few days left to return the phone, and switch to someother model.

Should I return it? The salesman warned me that the M600i model is heavy buggy. He hadn't tested it recently, but again, when he tested it some months ago, it was quite buggy.

I wonder if the bugs are still there or if the phone nowadays is free of problems and working fine. Please explain.

What are the biggest bugs left for SE to correct?

Thanks for quick response!

Regards
Martin

Hi Martin,
Most of this thread was written some 5 months ago, i have had my M600 for a month now and it is running the latest firmware R9A and mine is unbranded. I have had no crashes or freezes and would say this phone is now stable if not perfect. I would advise reading all the M600 threads here to get a better picture of what it is like and a lot depends on what you want to use it for.
