Is yorz showing "any" lifesign apart from LED? Guess that guy mite just be doing his thing too literally.. I remember practically being refused service@ Serv Cntr thou, in warranty over the lousy bill.. Had to break my head telling them I misplaced it& they did agree that IMEI status could be verified on der system ! This message was posted from a S700

No..I live in Greece..
I will take it back to the store where i bought it locally monday morning..

There is something here, because this can not be attributed to a bad batch..It looks like a general manufacturing error..
Lets see if other people get the same problem over time..
I hope not!!

its a software problem im pretty sure. I had the same problem with my W900 and it finally worked after flashing it with SEUS.

Flash red in the IR port? You mean you can actually see the infra red?

Its now been on charge for 5 hours and there is still no sign of life. Stupid thing. it will be going back (in its box this time) to a different cpw (I am never going to the one I went to taday ever again) to get them to change it for a new one.

I went to another carphone warehouse today with my phone, boxed this time. The guy was very helpful this time. I was only in the shop 6 minutes. This message was posted from a WAP device

Try to use a different battery (if it is a battery issue). I suppose the K800i uses the same battery as the K750i.

If it doesn't start using a different battery you could be quite sure it is either the phone's hardware or software.
