Here's an update:
My local SE customer service center told me they couldn't do much at this point because a) I am the first to report such issue and b) k800 is too new and there is simply no keypad spare parts available at this point.
However, they took a pic of my cellphone and promised to report this issue back to the SE HQ. If this is indeed a widespread issue then SE may consider replacing the keypad for free just like they did to the W800i orange joystick knob.
Remember to report to your local SE center if your k800 keypad coating peels like mine.

best way - well...i think they even use that way on some phones (e.g. my phone

Mate are you from the UK? If so where did you buy your phone from? If your in the UK you have been either sold a test model or an import. The extra symbols on the keypad shouldnt be there for a UK model. I suggest you question the place you bought from.

As i stated in my earlier post, those are chinese strokes. It is either a test model or a Hong Kong model

So far, i konw there are at least 3 versions
1. Hong Kong Version
2. Singapore/Pan-Asia Version
3. European Version
HKV: english, simplifed and traditional chinese. Strokes on keypad
SPAV: english, thai, indonesian, simplified chinese etc. Power adapter is different from HKV and EUV
EUV: English and other european languages, different games, that's it
