I would really recommend M3 by mysh on this forum. It now supports converting directly from DVD and the quilty of encoding is really amazing. Compared to the commercial app WinAVI it's like HD quality. The colors are much better and the image is very sharp. Also, the filesize was smaller. It also has presets for most SE phones with the most optimal settings (they can be changed of course).

Pictures coming soon hopefully.

Here you go. That is captured from runnig the files in mplayer.
WinAVI (filesize 2,76 MB)
M3 0.856 (filesize 2,14 MB)
It has settings for K750/W800, K800/K790, W900, W900(ProDuo), K610 and W810/W600/W550/W300. Then there are some quality settings for picture and sound too so you can really get a great result without any need for tweaking.
The difference in the above screenshots is just as visible on my K800i.

Nice info peeps.
Just what I was looking for.
Will these converted dvds play full screen on your mobile? How much memory does a typical 90 mins movie require?
The converter in the 1st post looks easy to use, how much is that to buy?

M3 has different options for non 4:3 content. It can crop it to 4:3 to give you fullscreen or it can add letterboxes and some more.
EDIT: Added the filesizes to the comparison above. Of course M3 also let's you convert music and has some upcoming features for syncing of music etc. to you phone.
It also lets you split the files to you liking.

This is what the GUI of M3 looks like.
goldenface: You should really try out M3 before you buy the other application. The GUI should be easy enough for you. Just my recommendation.
