As for the EDGE, K800 doesn't have it since it is 3G. If you use your cellphone to get online alot, EDGE helps a ton
Also, K790 will come out with a high price in USA. Unless you go to those asian cell phone places, you will get ripped off for sure. I am a chinese and i know chinese cell phone stores use their own commission to get you "FREE" phones so they can attract more customers.
Also, K800i on ebay are all unlocked while K790a will be sim locked with specific carrier/operator

Wow, thanks for the great info. I guess the k800 will be my phone then. However, I'm still waiting for the price to dip and I was hoping the influx of k790 would help the old supply demand curve.

There is going to be a k790i release and a k790a. The k790i will come unlocked and should be out soon while the k790a will be locked to american networks and probably wont be out for a while.

sorrie to interlude but the K790i/c and a will be delayed alot. As right now the demand is high for the K800 and so SE is making more and more K800's rather then be busy with the K790 line. So it will be awhile before the K790 gets released.
More like it will be released sometime in August, either mid or end.
However prices of both models will stay the same as they are for different markets and not same markets being only in a few countries. I don't forsee a drop in prices just by the K790 coming out, as demand for it isn't that high compared to the K800.

Well Mate, anything goes with regards to SE. Some are saying it will be tri, some say quad. If your referring to the proto's then it will be tri. As whatever they said with regards to the proto-types has been far fetched some of the things.
For instance in the proto's they put what is now called Track ID in the k800i and then removed it from final specs. They said it would have megabass and in the try the fone feat. on the site it has it but in the final release it was removed, it was supposed to have qvga recording at 30fps but that too was removed for some obscure reason.
So if you referring to the proto's then sorrie man, but it will I guess most likely be a tri-band fone and not quad. Yeah if they stick with the proto-type of the K790 then it would be a quad-band but who knows what stirs in the minds of SE ... only they know what they do...
