Can you clarify? There's a difference on the W810 and the W900 (the latter having spot metering too). Even with new firmware, the blue streaks are present on my old W800i where they aren't on the W810i. Take a dark photo and it will be noisy, but black is black.

Even if it is the same component/supplier, I wonder if the manufacturer had made changes to the spec in production? So, it may have the same part number but actually be slightly different.

Slugworth - I do realise that both the K750/W800 have the same camera module and display. I didn't come down in the last shower and I wasn't trying to start another pointless K750/W800 quality discussion. I think you misunderstand what I'm saying. What I was trying to establish is whether the earlier K750's suffered more from streaking and if there is a chance that the later K750's and W800's had slightly revised camera modules. After all, it is common practice for manufactures to make adjustments/improvements during a products life span. It may be nothing more than a minor software or component update but they do do it. Take a look at any circuit board that may have been manufactured at different times or at different locations - Quite often you'll find slightly different components but the official specs never change.

If you think there is no difference (even the slightest) in the camera modules then ask yourself why the 5.3 camera driver has a "GET_SENSOR_VERSION= " section in it? I think it is entirely possible that the module may have been improved along the way for both. And, if you really cast a sceptical eye over photos submitted in forums you will find that some seem to suffer more than others in very similar conditions.
