What happens if you purchase something(ipod, phone, etc) in Tax-Free? Do they make you put that in the cargo-hold also?

I am sick of these pathetic people causing such havoc and pain for many of us innocent members of the public around the world.
Being a Muslim myself, it pains me to see a minority of these people doing such acts for which all muslims are feeling the strain. Just walking in the streets people look at you like you are the guilty one.
Its hard to describe what i am feeling but i just want to say, Not all Muslims are with these cruel so called believers and our religion does not teach these acts of terrorism. The minority is giving a bad name to the whole Muslim world.

I know.
My Muslim mate I work with in London was stopped last year after the tube bombings.
He's also going to the US tomorrow, I gave him good luck.
That's as far as I'm going with religous post as they can cause as much harm as good.

Why, we all know what kind of people are responsible so f**k them all imho.
I have family travelling in the next few days so I can't help but be pissed off.
Also had family on the tubes the same day as the bombings.

Just flown back from the States last night on a 6 hour delay from Cleveland to Gatwick - prior to the flight we were told that no mobiles / lap tops etc would be allowed as hand luggage so we all had to try and cram these things into check in luggage - when I got to the airport they said - electronics were ok but everyone was throwing away toothpaste, expensive perfume etc etc - big screening search before the flight but that's ok. Anyone transfering from or flying out of London can take NOTHING as hand luggage -

I am pretty sure that insurance would gladly pay out if my lap top or K800i went missing or was damaged from checked in luggage.....not!

As per CNNs . . . everything will normalize (airport operation) in a week or two . . . .

I think I read that you'd have to check those in too.
