> W810 protector of the camera lens

I just bought a 'invisible shield' from
http://www.shieldzone.com/category/cell_phones/ it hasn't come yet but i don't think it has a lens protector.

The confusion comes from the fact there is no clear naming convention for the various components.
When people say Lense Cover, they invariably mean the sliding Active Lense Cover, however there is another lense cover. The other lense cover is just a small round coated piece of see-through plastic stuck to the outside of the camera module itself. This protects the lense inside. some people wrongly assume this flat piece of plastic is the lense, but it isn't.
So on K750 et all, you have the Active Lense cover, then the Lense protector (also a lense cover), then the lense.
On the w810, you only have the Lense Protector and the camera lense underneath that.
This picture of a K750 shows the lense protector removed and the camera lense underneath:
The camera module on the W810 is identical, so the same should apply to the W810.

just prise it off gently with a small jewellers screw driver or similar. It's only glued on, the glue will restick so don't use new glue, it might just muck things up

It's just that most people here refer to it as that, including myself. I refer to the glass protector part, as the glass lens cover, or something to that effect to make it clear.

"Lense Covers" are generally removable or retractable devices. The see-through plastic lense cover (phew!) is fixed. It has an anti-glare coating, and it's role is to prevent sensor saturation in bright conditions, so perhaps "Lense Protector" is also the wrong term.
Technically speaking, The see-through plastic lense cover is really an anti-glare filter.

Is the anti-glare coating on the exterior or interior side of the fixed-cover? It seemed to me that it was on the outside part on my former w810. If it's like that, that's what caused the little streaks on the fixed-cover, the coating easily coming off even after only cleaning it with a soft cotton cloth.

it has to be on the outside to reflect the glare. Like any lense, you shouldn't touch it with anything but a dust free lense cleaning cloth. Cotton's not that soft, and if it's part of your clothing you are using that's even worse - lot's of fine dust particles trapped in the fabric.
But I think you'll find, that if you have to clean it a lot there must be lot's of dust getting on to it, and when you clean it this dust scratches the surface.
If that's the case you should get a little hand held blower to blast the dust of the lense before wiping it with the cloth.

here I would recommend popping to your local camera store a picking up a lens cloth. I have a micro fibre cloth which works great.
By the way in the link to the other thread is worth a look just to read the post from 'stayback' !!
Each to there own but I wouldn't recommend his approach
