i use avg and sygate firewall. the firewall blocks stuff and warns me when stuff happens which is good enough for me + it lets me change loads of stuff if i want to. zone alarm is good but cba to remove sygate

thats the address for the free one aol provide to all computer users, its basically kasperskys anti virus with the odd feature of the paid version removed.
kaspersky tend to score very highly in most anti virus tests and are usually the quickest to have new definitions out.
also as others have mentioned zone alarm is a decent free firewall, very user friendly.
avg still a good free anti virus choose as well
