I still have the same issue:been waiting for a p 990 but now I think more and more about a m 600 cuz it's cheaper and it has exactly what I need. BUT what if I don't like it after I buy it?! How's the keyboard?! That's my biggest worry..

@manali: if you don't think you will use the camera and wifi then go for the M600. It's smaller and got better looks =P
My only problem with the M600 is the lack of wifi, it is the reason why I did not buy the M600. But if you don't need wifi then there is no point of waiting for the P990.

On a logically basis I would recommend the M600 over the P990 if you do not need wifi and a camera (you don't need wifi where you have good 3G coverage).
On an emotional basis I would recommend the P990 (just) over the M600 as I really like the look, style and form factor of the P990 and I am assuming that s/w issues will get addressed (shortage of RAM is unlikely to be addressed quickly).

I was tempted by the m600 at first, but the design didn't appeal to me all that much. And when my girlfriend said that it looked like an old phone, it was clear to me that the P990i would be the right phone to choose.
Also, I couldn't really approve of the wicked keyboard layout of the m600. I'm more fond of the traditional thumb board sported by the P990i.

ahem... cough cough... and you actually listened to your girlfriend?
for me thats a definite proof that I made the right choice!
The M600 keyboard is really neat and you really do have to use it to appreciate it. it takes a day or two to get used to but after that you can type really fast

Nah, she can be in charge of the curtains, but I rather not let her mess with my gadgets. For her, my P990i is a shiny, expensive brick with a cool screen. But then again, I can't figure out why she got expensive, uncomfortable shoes that are only usable in autumn.
The flipless P990i is just a breeze to use. At least it will be in 6 months when SE's done letting us bug test it.

Well i'm having to choose also M600 or P990, both look great and have or seem to have great technology, i've had the p800/900/910 and have been pleased with them all each improoving on the previous, i fancied a change as the size of the P series has slightly worried me as with most, but if you want it all then it usually reflects with the size.. i like the M600 very much and it would probably suit all my needs, but the benefit of wi fi really appeals to me, even using it at home with a router, high speed and not worrying about incurrng extra cost whilst surfing the web, Wi fi connection being increasingly popular , airports, hotels etc. The size of the p990 i can live with without the flip. i think it looks great without the flip and is obviously that bit slimmer. So for me it's the p series yet again, i suspect so, (which is down to Wi fi).
