Yea i'm going to stick with T-Mobile FW, it seems pretty fine with the exception of the odd problem, which many are already suffering.

Now is there anyway to get rid of T-Mobiles protected files?

NO!!!!! unless you de-brand it, de-branding takes off all the operator rubbish on the phone including the tmobile protected files.
