If you can not connect to an open WLAN then you have a problem becouse this dont need any settings for. Have you tried to connect on other ppls open wlan?
Dosenīt that works I would have return my phone. But if its works it must be something with your router/phone

was due to my modem restriction.
everything work fine in my p990i wifi at other hotspot. very fast n smooth.

I also have problem with wifi on my p990. My PowerBook works without a problem, the network is not encrypted and IP, DNS and subnet are dynamically assignet. P990 can connect to the network but when I try to load the web page, the phone says that it cannot reach the remote server.....what is the problem? can anyone help please?

I had my first wifi problem today. I was stood in a starbucks on Baker street where my k-jam never had a problem receiving t-mobile wifi but today, although my vaio could see the wifi the P990 could not.
I even powered off and on and scanned a few times but it could not see it no matter what I tried

my brother using o2 atom exec test in myhouse no problem,but my p990i cannot,dunno y???????

Did you try to put in IP-adress, submask, gateway and DNS? I had a simmilar problem and it was solved by plotting in the above.
