it's cause you're using a hong kong frimware k800i.. it doesn't support multi character search.

@ markmyword.......i believe we have the same exact problem do you think its a bug or firmware problem...if you have any suggestion its very much welcome, i'm starting to get annoyed with this problem especially if you have a lot of contacts under one letter you just can't imagine the scrolling i have to do...

I've W800, but that problem doesn't occur. I can enter character as many as I like.

I observed that in some letters, it searches but in often times it does not it only go to the beginning name at the start og the letter.....any observations....
