My aunt used to have ferrets and polecats (very similar to each other). I looked after them for a week at her house with my Nan when I was a wee lad.
She kept them out doors in hutches but they where allowed out and were taken out for walks (they have little harnesses).
She feed them on frozen baby chickens (chicks) obviously she defrosted them first. I’m not sure if the chicks were bred by her self (she also had chickens) or she got them for a farm of something.
One thing I can remember was they sometimes smelt a bit (they like to mark the territory).

Ok thanks... apparently that smell disappears quickly? Though having a few of them it might take longer.
Anyone know whats better to have, male or female?
Also neutered or not?
Also what breed?
Also raw meat or pre-made ferret food like dogs and cats have?
