You should also be aware if u place ur sim card in blocked mobiles that there will be some damage to ur sim card. So dont even go there lol If u go abroad the phone should work but not never in the Uk.

I'm not so sure about this damage you speak of... In fact, I'd go as far as to say it's probably a myth.

the sim wont be damage...but ur sim maybe tracked as u have used it in a stolen phone..so ur service provider will know u have inserted ur sim in a stolen phone... if ur sim is a contract one... they will obviously have ur address, name, D.O.B....or if u have a Pay as u talk sim (which requires registration e.g. Orange..) they might have ur details as well... for other sims (which dont require registration) thats unlikely gonna happen...but again...its risky....

As far as I know sims aren't damaged by being put in blacklisted/blocked phones, I've put mine (including my main contract one) in phones that were blocked when I didn't realise they were (e.g. ones I'd just fixed the screen on but didn't realise or was told was blacklisted!) with no adverse effects on the sim.

PUK code has nothing to do with it.

Seriously, there is no quick fix for this. Mobile phone manufacturers aren't complete idiots. The idea is that you can't use a stolen mobile phone. End Of.

Whether it's implemented fully or not, and whether all stolen phones get thier IMEI's blocked is a different matter. You are playing a game of chance by buying this phone, and I would advise against it.

I recentley bought a phone off somebody here for some reason it was blacklisted and the person didn't know anything about it so I was refunded,

anyhows when the sim was placed in my D600 it took ages to come on the network seemed slow and the wap was extremely snaily,

o2 sent me a new sim card and told me the phone had damaged it.

so if you have o2 Pay monthley sim don't put it in a blacklisted phone guys

more like the phone damaged it through some other fault, and not the fact that the phone was blacklisted.as such.
