i've broken many handsfrees by doing it that way (all handsfree only lasted one month until i kept buying new ones) by pushing it down or up.

just try pulling one side off then the other. easy as pie, meat pie. much a more safe for the pins. if you want to pull it or push it then by all means do so. just be warned

According to the manual, as you hold thephone, push the charger up form the back of the phone, the clips inside compress to release the charger, very little force is required.

To all those pulling them straight out or sideways

then you're lucky your charges and/or phones haven't broken yet!

Just tilt forward like you are trying to fold it in half. No resistance at all. Left - Right or one pin at a time is bound to cause an issue eventually.

I'm not sure about the new FastPort for I am using a k700, which uses the old connectors. However, I am pretty sure the new FastPort and the old connector work based on the same principals.

If you take a close look (and touch) at the old connector (be it charger or ear-piece/hands free), you would notice that the pins are actually "retractable". This means that the pins would go into the plastic casing when pressed down. So I do not see how would removing the the charger/handsfree by using the tilting method break the pins. Well, unless the pins are designed differently.

The quickest way to unplug the fast port DCU60 cable out is just simple place your phone on a flat surface, make sure your index finger is underneath the cable head and your thumb ontop facing straight, then press down on the connector connecting on your phone with your thumb and then with your index finger which is on the bottom simply lift upwards and it should come out with ease. So basically your just flicking up out instead of pulling out, which the new chargers do not do anymore as this is a risk of pulling out the pins..

Note: the computer icon on the cable head should be facing upwards!
DO NOT PULL CABLE OUT IF YOU DO ALREADY!! THIS RUINS THE PINS AND MAY GET TUGGED OUT!

Just push straight in making sure the icon on the plug is always facing the same way as the face of the handset.

Hi guys.

I was reading through the manual of my brothers K800 (yup.. he just join the league of great phone users) and I noticed something very interesting. The manuel does not tell users to tilt the connector to 45 degress before removing. In fact, the pictures shows an arrow pointing directly backwards, meaning it's asking users to pull the connector directly out. The text also says "Unplug the charger" or "cable", depending on the accessory. THere is zero mention about tilting the connector.

Can anyone confirm this?
