Wouldn't bet on it.. I ordered mine around that date too, and each time i call to find out the exact date, it gets pushed back
The guy i spoke to at O2 actually said he was also waiting for his P990 too, i tended to believe him, as he was a friendly chap, we had a conversation about how good a phone it will be when we get them.. eventually...
Lets hope the delay is worth it and the firmware has a few more bugs shaken out
cheers Oz

My wife bought a W850i (nice phone!) from O2 today; I asked about the P990i and they told me that the Sony Ericsson rep said it would now be "towards the end of the year" before the P990i would be available!!!!!

O2 Ealing say we are expecting it some time this month. Brochure says Late October, but it says the same for the W850i.
Vodafone Ealing say Vodafone have exclusivity on the handset until December 2006 so you ain't getting it anywhere else!!!

Hello
Sorry if this question has been asked already, but do we know if the 02 version of the P990 will have heavy branding like the CRAP Vodafone put on their handsets? I bloody hope not!
cheers

Vodafone's p990 is not heavily branded, just start and turn off screens. The rest is untouched. Also unlocked too!

ah, ok, I see
I think my concern is also with the delay in firmware updates, and I've also heard the Voda version is slower than the unbranded version. Not sure if that's strictly true, so any comment welcome
cheers

Yeah the delay in firmware releases is very annoying. I'll be looking to debrand mine as soon as possible but untill then i'll be ok. Its fast enough just not very stable.

Thats a very good question. The more freedom from the network we can get, the better
