I think the thing with the motorola phones is that you can buy a new keypad with different led colors. Just look at
this. Blokia also have the same thing on some of the phones with changeable covers.

My old (deceased) nokia had the changeable covers and keys. Admitadly it was designed that way, but i'm surprised other phone companies didn't jump on the band wagon and make changeable phones themselves. The adversales market alone is worth the effort.

Its easier and cheaper to do it my way! There are no adverse effects from doing it. I've had my K700i for a long time and its never failed.

I dont think people are changing collors on their phones with buying new covers like they did when the covers came. I remember back then when everybody who had nokia 3xxx series phones changed their covers. But now i havent seen people with 'fancy' covers for a long time.
