Hi!
I want to exersize coding for UIQ3, so I thought the best idea would be to ask others opinion, on what type of applications they would like to see?
I don't have much time to work on it, so I'm interested in smaller projects... but I think any idea should be posted, since other coders could check the list as well
i'd like to see the preinstalled apps working properly please.

Port the Magic Progile PRO man. That was a BEAUTIFUL app on my P900.
I mean it looked at my meetings, times, towers, had priorities, was able to change the ringtone, divert calls. It had it all. I miss that app right now, when I have to go an change the sound setting. The ACM comes close, but it needs more refinement and functionality.
SymbianWave are the only ones that can make that dream come true...
You can contact
SW-Midas that works for SymbianWave and ask him about it

Hope it's not too late to post, & you are still looking for ideas, I would really like it if you could develop a clock screen saver like the P900 & 910 have

Well, I think you're not too late. I didn't started this topic only for me, hopefully other coders would read it also

(and hopefully will release the apps as freeware/opensource

) )
About the screensaver: I don't know how to make a screensaver, and I think it's a bit more complicated (especially with the new platsec. ... although a lot of things turned to be easier then I thought first).
I already made a program (rainyphone) which has a screesaver like mode: after a certain amount of inactivity, it starts: creates a screenshot, and the water starts to fill the screen. I also made unlock keysequence for it ('*' then '#'), but there are certain buttons (back, @) which cannot be overriden (actually, I think the back can be overriden, except for long presses).
On the other hand, now that I start thinking more about it.... I think it could work:
* the app would start after X seconds of inactivity
* you should turn the keylock off in the phone, otherwise the usuall message will pop up...
But it would have some disadvanatges as well...
well, what the hack, let me try somethings... I'll get back as soon as I have something to show....
@ares: I heard you tube will launch it's mobile services in 2007...

a Snes or Megadrive Emulator is a must. The P910 has one but UIQ 3.0 is yet to see one
