that has been discussed before, there is absolutely no way to get such as screen on the t68i, because it is not even about the screen but more about the capabilities of the processon in the t68, so unless you put a whole new phone into t68's casing you wont be able to enjoy the 65k depth...

@tcp/ip

Oki, thanks for clearing that up m8. I agree that TFT is way better than STN for sure, but my laptop and S100 uses STN I think the images and respons are OK. Only problem is when I tilt it. But I really thought TFT technology would effect the battery though... Well guess I was wrong there....

Thanks for all the expert information. I just love my T68 too much. To me it is the best phone so far in the market except for the screen. I don't see any other phone could come even near to T68 in terms of the features, technology and design which are packed into this tiny phone. Not to mention the flexibility in attaching camera, MP3 as well as radio on it. If only the screen is 65K TFT, it would be the perfect phone!!

The problem is: "There is no such Phone as good as T68 yet" he..he. Their problem is either in the design, weight or no bluetooth.
I just hope there is one Geek out there who is able to make it comes true or even SE itself releasing the T68 with 65K TFT ha...ha well that is my Xmas Wish for this year ha..ha..

Cheers

Wait for Samsung SGH-S300 that will be released in Februari 2003. Both extreamly small and 2 colour screens. One with 65k and one with 256 colours. Expensive though, about $600-700.

Hi Tcp/IP,

I came across this website which shows the components part of T68 and it seems like T68 uses the TFT LCD, so do you think it is still possible to upgrade it to a higher colour LCD screen just say a 4096 colours? Please give your expert advice, really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Well, you could of course buy a SONY Clié with a high res color screen, open it, take out the screen, cut it smaller, put in T68i and you'd have a 202 x 160 pixels full color screen.

Just try it and let us know how it turned out.

Oh, and while you're at it could you test try and fit a Bose Acoustimass surround sound system in the place of the piezo speaker so we can have full blast audio on it as well
