No I have a w880i. It's so annoying when using the walkman and on shuffle.

I know what you mean. All my ringtones are stored in a dedicated folder in "sounds", so they don't get picked up by the Walkman player. Although there is the one file called "Greeting" which I can't move/delete or anything. It's really annoying.

I bought MobyExplorer from Bermin.net and i was then able to remove the write protection from those ringtones and delete them as well as the protected pics

Ooh, just had a quick look at this, will it work with W810i and how much does it cost?

They can be deleted with Far manager in the CID36 phones, but actually the phone won't work properly if you don't have replacement for them with the same names. After all, why you like that much to delete that 2 tones? They don't take too much memory.

Has anyone found a way of removing all the unwanted in-built sounds from the walkman/music player ?

do you use disk2phone to put your music on your phone??

if you do copy and paste them into your music folder,

to stop the greetings ect getting in the way make a folder in your music folder and call it 'music' so effectivly you will be savin the mp3's in
menu
but the greeting, sony ericsson files will be in
menu
then go to the walkman player, go to playlist, create a new one and mark the music folder that contains your mp3's then add it and the greeting and other tracks will not be in your playlist and wont get in the way when ure playing ure music.

thats what i did on my w880i anyway

problem solved,
