I too have recently purchased a k610im, and am having the same problems using .jar files on my phone.
Files copied from pc onto phone memory stick - saved in 'others', but only have option to send etc.

Can anyone help with this please??

the k610im uses doJoJava which is not compatible with J2ME games, the k610im can be downgraded to a k610i but you will lose the imode capability, if you value java games more than imode then i'd say the downgrade is worthwile.

As usual there is a risk in flashing phones so be careful.

In general, it's more convenient to just send the jar file to the phone, either by IR or by dragging and dropping the jar file on the phone icon in the my bluetooth places folder, not to a particular file folder. Then the phone will decide itself where to put it, and install the program correctly. It may ask the user whether to put it in games or programs though.
