Sony Ericsson is more than capable of making a slim phone. Even though SE is a new company they're still drawing on the Ericsson experience. Remember the GH/SH 688/888 with the ultra slim batterry? How about the T28 as well?

we'd probably see a new cybershot kXX "slim" series. like those from motorola L series. but i dont see any reason why SE have to copy some other company. But if SE think that LG is competing with its chocolate model, let SE make new models better than that chochoSh*t

Creating ultrathin fashion statements is a waste of time. Why can't SE stick to its plan? Leave LG to make the cheap fashion phones.

Yeah, I feel that although SE have produced many wonderful amazing phones, high both in design and features. It needs a pretty phone, something for the fashion and looks over features... I personally wouldn't buy it, but many will.

I don't see why SE needs to come out with a chocolate-type phone. SEs always been trying to stay ahead of the curve technologically. cybershot phones, walkman phones. P-series; they've done a pretty good job of it too.
wrt: fashion phones. I'm thinking that the w900 looks pretty stylish. and someone on this forum's been sayin' summin' about a new JP-style phone that's about to launch. And it looks pretty stylin'.
I think that coming out w/ a 'slim line' just for the sake of having a slim phone is a step backwards. I think that if SE can find a way to make the phones slimmer and still take a step forward technologically it will.

the z610i is a step into the fashion line imo.. and it's great.. the inside looks bad on the blue and pink one but looks decent on the black one.

I was checking japan SE site.....there was this phone W43S...featured as beauty x beauty. it looks slim. I know the phones are meant for japan only......but is it not possible that it could also be done for the rest of the world.......and only it will just take some time?.....not to mention the new comers on that site....
