bluetooth is not worth it atm, 6 hrs is the best it can do and the trouble of charging the handsfree too. you can't use exceptional earphones/headphones using bluetooth.

Yeap... The SE coneector is a disadvantage for SE users. Do you guys remember the old `Sony CD and MD players? Theres a good connector. 3.5 mm mini hack and pins for remote control in the same plug.

I can see that all phone manufacures try to make the most out of the size and let the plug sit on the outside of the phone, but I would rather have stable connectorplug than super small size.
Du U want the old remote control back? (with additional features like hands free and so on... of course)

. I'm using this fastport headphone adapter over a year now and it didn't break until now. Such a plug would need a lot of space in the phone and would add considerably to it's size.
But maybe the P990 does have that plug

Well it works ok for me. The cord coming out from the right side suits most people because the phone is normally upside down and in the right pocket. This means that the cord can lead up the body without too much strain.
And having a 3.5mm jack would mean that you wouldn't be able to have a handsfree with your pair of headphones. That's the main advantage of a fastport design, because then, you can use the adaptor part as a mic as well as an adaptor.
And the
phones come with the handsfree adaptor as well, so I don't het what the big deal is...

Nah man that MD remote was a thing of beauty. Play, stop, fast forward rewind, svelte clip; along with a display that showed you EVERYTHING the device is doing. Imagine on the joyslick and initiate calls from the address book?! Open SMS' say 2 lines at a time with a slow or quick scroll thru depending on the magnitude of the twist.
I dont want 3.5 jack ... too much power. Give us 2.5mm .... if you want to use your DJ headphones, YOU bring the adapter.
Problem with these adapters is that they get loose quickly. Side tugging in the pocket, or quick yanking will cause the jack to get loose. Even worse, the connection will give strange feedback. Lastly, it'll leave a NICE HOLE in your phone for dust and other non friendly things to get in! If SE puts a rubber plug then a qtr of ya will complain.
Me I'm just fine with the FAST port. pure bliss.

yeah! I remember that problem with my K750i. SE Acctually fixed this issue in the K800i. Now the phone asks u if u wanna play through the speekers when u thake the connector out.
