Remember the W810i didn't have the hiss issue originally. They added it later with a firmware update. Sony can always add the hiss issue to their new Bond phones to get us to buy their new Bond2 (comes out next year) phones in 2007.

i had a 810 so know what you mean so no there is no hissing on the w850,not on mine anyway

I'm using an unbranded white W850 and I have no hiss while playing music. Phone speaker, wired headset with fontopia's or A2DP headset, no hiss whatsoever.

hiss noise is only in these phones: w810i k750i w800i for some reason.

I dont think this hissing sound wil bother u wen ur listenin 2 it at normal or loud volume. I hav the same hissing sound in my pioneer car stereo, but it doesnt bother me wen i listen 2 music at high volume.
