i use itunes as long as the album art is 300x300 and you update the id tags of the album its cool , then copying and pasting into w850i music folder, the pics are all there

Ive got it to work 100% with WMP11.

I use album art at 200x200 pixels taken from allofmp3.com (all album pictures are that size on there so no messing around resizing). save the picture in the corresponding albums folder then open up WMP11.

Highlight all the tracks in the album then right click and select advanced tag editor. go to the pictures tab and add your album art there. from the drop down box i select front cover (not sure if this matters but thats how I do it.)

then just copy your folder onto the phone and thats it.

SCORPIONKING1982!

yes, this method works for me.

found it here a while back

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=132401&start=15

I have only one problem with it. I have a set of John Lennon albums and the album art picture is the same so I edited the picture to add a 1,2,3 and 4 to them, saved them as 200x200 etc.

and they all display on my W950i. but the display shows album 2 , then albums 1,2,3 and 4.

In other words album 2 shows twice. butt here is only one track in album 2.

I have right clicked that track in WMP and I can see that the details appear to be correct for the attached album art!

Any ideas?

I do get that but not in the phone, in media player itself. sometimes after editing the ID tag it seems to screw up a bit.

Open advanced tag editor for the song and check every detail there is in there. make sure the spelling is the same for all details etc. its usually some discrepancy with the data.

Hi SCORPIONKING1982!

you were right, the track in question had different info.

i.e John Lennon Lennon etc

but all of the others have John Lennon John Lennon.

The track in question has a very long title...

Anyway, I will edit and check all out...

update - got it sorted.... I remembered to update the music lists in the W950i!

thanks!

Ofiaich..

thanks for that, jack77777

I think you can lock the thread now, and post the link for the thread where you would like us to continue.

I have definately got it working with WMP10. As was discussed before by someone, you need to add album art to each track by using the Advanced Editor.

The only thing I have found is that it makes the files bigger than they were, but this isn't too much of a problem really.

Norstar.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't notice that the thread had finished! Ignore me.

@Norstar.

don't worry, it had not finished,

it was jack77777 that wanted to "just leave it at that"... but I see he has not locked it!
