If there is another P990 nearby, try the battery on it to check if it is only "reported" by the phone as discharged. This will help identify f the battery is indeed defective...

it happens because it is brand new.Just use it and after 10 charges it should perform better.Remember,it's a small battery for a very power hungry phone.Nothing wrong with your phone,look around you, others have the same complaint. Just charge it daily like the rest of us and you'll be fine.

@@@ 701 .. but my frnd also bought with me yesterday . he has no prob with his battery . perfectly working . besides these things yesterday whn i start the phone first time. the battery was low. and 1 notification appear on screen
"Replace the Main Battery " . and whn my frnd Turned on his phone he had arnound 60 % battery . so tht means my phone was faulty .
Also gimee some tips on battery like for how many hours should i charge 1st time ?

After i drain the battery when i got it first,i charge it 8 hours then after draining it again i charge 4 hours and it lives up to 2 days with full fucntions

My girlfriend has exactly the same problem, battery would not even last half a day, SE recognised this as a faulty phone and are replacing it...

My phone has been fine until I updated the firmware. For some reason it didn't update to the latest version but it did update to a newer version than I had. Now my battery barely lasts 20 minutes from a full charge. Surely this must be software and not hardware related. Unfortunately I don't have access to a Windows machine at the moment so I won't be able to run the update again for a while. Would anyone be kind enough to offer an opinion?

SE dealer has replaced my P990i . and i ve got now brand new 990i .
okay this time whn i turned on my phone 1st time .battery was 60% charged .
Phone is working perfectly . no crashes and reboot so far .
Will install Swiss manager and other software later .
Now Battery Question ....
For how many hours should i charge 1st time to get the longer battery life ?
I heard from many ppl tht one has to charge it 100% and then drain it to 0% and then charge it again to 100% . do this thing for 4-5 times and by tht way u will get the longer battery life ....
IS IT TRUE ?

Why is tht Green Neon light not turning on in Cradle? i have connected my cradle to PC . do i have to connect power adapter too to turn on Green Light ?
