@bytes- being a SE fan doesn't mean you have to turn a blind to their flaws. No, it means you look at them critically still cause that's how we make a difference. I love SE but they're not perfect just yet. They make blunders, maybe slightly more than others which is understandable but by no means acceptable to a certain extent. We must not forget that they're 5 years old. However, they need to pull up their socks now. This new kid on the block tag is so old!

EMS06; Not turning a blind eye on SE but rather recognising their flaws and strength, thats why I said SE is good at non-smartphones and theirs are my first choice in those phones.
Anyway back to the topic, any other views on which way to go cos I am in dire need for one good smartphone. Been surviving on my laptop and the SE810i now

Remember we are expecting 5 new UIQ models from

next year.....
also, they now have UIQ company in their control, so development of new p/uiq series MAY be quicker as a result....
Well then next year is the time to buy the UIQ - not now.

Hi,
I am considering between a dopod 810 to nokia N95 as I understand some of you might have use either phone for a while now hence any infos would be much appreciated.
So far I read that the only downside of N95 is that the battery drains out quickly any other comment on this front?
I am look for a phone with GPS.
Many thanks

I have used the Dopod 818pro for a while and I can say it is quite disappointing. It is slow and battery was quite bad. Earpiece tends to shortcircuit from moisture (hope they have solved this). If I am not wrong the Dopod 810 is using the same or slightly faster processor as the 818.
WM usually have a long standby time (i.e. if you dont touch the phone at all) since it uses a 2 processors system and the one use to run PDA functions is totally turn off. But once you use it, battery drains quite fast. Currently I have the Atom and N95 and the N95 last slightly longer than the Atom under the same usage.

@ bytes
Well, you can consider mib1800's response, but know that he's a complete Nokia fanboy who has some sort of holy Nokia crusade here at Esato (you can tell by the tone of the response), so it might not be entirely unbiased. You might wanna wait for more comments before you decide. I would never go for anything without HSDPA if you ask me, it's currently my most basic pre-requisite

Personally I like S60 OS and how its matured over the years along with the power the hardware is delivering. however the designs just isn't quite there for me. N95 is nice but GPS is not that effective. I'll wait for the Nokia N83 or that other protoype.
For now though i've got my heart & eye set on the DoPoD C730 that is where I'm heading!

once SE P1 has been released then have your phone demo at some stores, if it satisfies you then get it.
