@tranced: oui, hoping it is. it's just that my friend is kidding me a lot about the authenticity of my phone and i'm becoming doubtful myself; having said that, this phone has been absolutely awesome so far, got it in june 2005 and has worked flawlessly. bought a new battery today because the current one seems to be acting up, the battery meter dropping an increment a few minutes after removing from the stand without my having to do anything. perfect for mp3 and widescreen video playback. some people are saying mp4 video is slow on the 910 as opposed to the 900 but I use TCPMP which. while being simplistic, is very very smooth for any video format. I won't be getting rid of this anytime soon.

TAC+FAC+SNR+SP
TAC - Type Approval Code, it's a number of country of production phone
FAC - Final Assembly Code, this is as code of producer (for example 10 it's a Nokia)
SNR - Serial number, - this is a correct serial number of your phone
SP - Spare - it's a separator (always 0)

thanx for this info, but where do i get what code is assigned to each country?
for example, my TAC is 35785000. what country is this? i guess is france

Well atleast I know it's not a fake. And according to the results on that site it seems bery much to be european, made for the UK market. So it's all good I suppose. That site is an awesome tool tranced, good work!
