> P990i Creaking Like Mad

@ares:
Good tip about a credit card piece. I'll try that myself. Folded paper tends to get flatter over time so the creaking eventually returns. Plastic will not do the same, I guess.
Of the three SE phones I've owned, only the K700i didn't creak at all as the battery cover is metallic. The K750i was worse than the P990i.

I have found a god fix I cut a thin slice of pencil eraser and glued it to the battery (I guess a smear of bath sealant applie to the battery would do the same job) and it no longer creaks.
Being one of

s unpaid beta testers is not all its cracked up to be!
Get your act together

we are getting P****d off with your s**t build quality and lousy firmware

@nitro, build quality is very good except for battery cover, and that can easily be solved...i think you are overeacting...it you want to see a bad build phone, try the 6280
@AbuBasim, i use the same thing since September, it never creacked againg

now back to the topic...
as I just tried the old card trick, I can say be careful b4 u do it. I almost broke apart my phone trying to get the battery cover out after inserting a cut piece of plastic. and even with the plastic between the cover and the battery, the pone plastic casing still creaked. no biggie anyway.

Ah the old "there are worse phones out there" defence, well it dont wash with me sorry, I expect a flag ship phone to be just that, a high quality device in every aspect, the P990i is simply is not and it is not just me saying it just read the pages and pages of faults, complaints etc I am not making this stuff up neither am i over reacting.
I am realy supprised that you persist in defending

when they are failing their customers, what do you have to gain from defending low quality goods? are you a shareholder?

You have a problem with facts?? Is it only me that considers the phone to be well built, and that the problem with the cover is easily solved??? Do you want me to join you moaning just to please you??? Forget it
Scroituru, it solved my problem, and i open and close it when necessary...i used and old debit card from one of the banks i work with...its tight enough to eliminate creacking...i did the same before with the k750, and it also worked
