For me P990 brought a new dimension in mobile technology enjoyment. It brought some real PC functionality. Now days can pass before I turn on my home PC because I browse the internet via wifi, download large multimedia files, editing word and excel doc., read pp presentations etc, etc. on my P990 all with ease and pleasure.
I would like that next P series continue in that direction because those mentioned are just glimpse of what can be done. Imagine vba functionality in office apps, some serious database capacity, or multimedia recoding etc. with all other features. That would be nice to see but offcourse it is a far cry at the moment.

I think se will do what nokia did with their smartphones and release several phones using the os they have recently bought but i think they will have them in different forms such a sliding or clamshell or even a swivel design that would be good

Sorry people, but I have heard that P990 is the last phone in the P-series. Newer phones will be M-, W- or other series. But it's only rumours I hope that it will come a P990 continuation, but I don't think it will do

Yes quite agree as said in my post above. The P series will live on but not as a Pxxx, instead will be a singled name device like "TyTn" with SE moving away from using series numbering for top end phones. And I believe they will end up more pda like - companies business contracts are ordering WM5 devices and Blackberry handhelds by the ton; not P990s.

By keeping the P series alive it is only catering for previous users who believe in it, and are willing to put up with really "learning" the device!

SE won't let Nokia rule: with the N95 due in Q1 2007, next year is going to be good for mobile phones as competition ensues...
