so after its finished its scan, i can go on downloading all 200mb
And im capped at the moment, gone over my internet limit for the month, its going to take for ever
EDIT:
the scan didnt mention anything of sp2, so im guessing i dont need it. Thought that doesnt explain why p990 pc suite still wont install....

I had the same problem and pc suite won't install cuz you don't have SP2. After you get it (Microsoft won't allow you to get it cuz you run an illegal copy of XP-try and get the SP2 file from some1 rather than downloading it from site) the Pc Suite will run.It happened to me.

yeah ive got sp1, but im not going to download it yet until my internet goes back to normal speed on the 22nd of this month

i have a file on my computer which makes Microsoft recognise my computer as running a genuine Windows copy. Some one here gave it to me, when i needed to download something, it works a treat
