Change the Car holder setting to On.
Now, enable Power Save. Mine is on for one minute.
See if that works for you.

I have tried using the steps made by Symbiatico, however the light still does not turn off, i left it until the unit was fully charged however the lights still did not turned off.
I have attached a picture of the m600i when charging, notice that the llcd and keypad light does not turn off even when fully charged. Is what im experiencing the same for all m600i users out there?
Note: Picture was taken after 2 hours of charging

This is NOT a bug, its normal. If your phone is on during charge then it goes black after a little time

Yes, but his phone isn't turned on. It's only in the 'charging mode' which is kind of between on and off. I.E. The OS isn't really running. (Well, a small part of it is, really, but not the important parts.)

i think what you describe is normal. although i never turn my phone of to charge - dont see why anybody would?
still think you were harshly treated though, i think it is a fair question!

talking about charging, my phone is fully charged from 10% in about 70 minutes. it is normal?
in phone's help, it says a fully discharged battery is fully charged in about 4 hours.

@antichrist
My P990i seems to be charging quicker and quicker. From the start it often got "stuck" at 99% for some time, but now it's quickly up to 100% (the rest of the process also seems a tad bit faster). Don't know if that's a bad thing, but it doesn't seem to discharge quicker anyway...

I'm having a different charging problem, after hard reset I can charge handset without problem but once you use the handset and it's ready for another charge, it wont charge, indicator cycles through but percentage reading does not rise but continues to fall. This can continue until percentage is showing as 0%, firmware R9A002, NO ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE added to the handset, just numbers copied from sim.
Anyone having the same problem or advice this is bugging me.
