well, it's under warranty, but it was bought off a parallel importer in nz, and in these parts, they have no legal obligation to provide me with service

and the fact that the firmware has patches applied, will probably not help my case. There is a shop that does unlocks and flashes, near the store i bought it, so i will take it in there and see what they can do.
Btw, it's not even flashing on anymore, so i think it could be something mechanical, rather than software related

Okay, i just got home, after taking the phone to the place i bought it. they have taken it in, and will be sending it to Sony Ericsson on the 3rd of january, when they re-open. And after that, it might take up to 3 weeks to get back

so, for now, I'm stuck with the Nokia 1100 they lent me (groan) THEY SPACE KEY ISN'T MEANT TO BE ON THE 0 KEY!!! roarrrr!!
I'm really worried that they'll just blame the fault on the modding I've done to the firmware, or having the case open... If they decide that it's my fault, it'll cost me 40 bucks just to get my phone back.

man, this is turning into a potentially expensive, and
very troublesome exercise... i think I'll stick with my stock firmware in the future...
