the fact that nokia failed is alarming. but then again if motorola can grap some marketshare i'm sure SE can 2.
maby with an emotinal design, who knows what hype they can create.

Doesn't Korea use CDMA bands?

I think SE is going to chase market share in 2007, this being a prime example.

But one thing SE might do is launch Japanese developed handsets in Korea, it is possible.

Everyone would agree that the Korean market might be a tough nut to crack but what

does have on its side is some great brands such as Walkman and Cyber-shot and a more people friendly feel - thanks to the current advertising campaign.
LG and Samsung to me come across as a bit boring and staid compared to other brands.
This would also be a good platform for

to showcase HSDPA and wi-fi enabled devices.

Not to bad I take it, LG and Samsung are electronics companys just like Sony, Sony being the premium brand between the 3.
So they stand a better chance maybe, and they can take out Moto easy.

one question that came up to my mind is: will south korea have as good and stylish phones as the japan market?

@tranced
It will be VERY competitive as the South Koreans are very technologically advanced compared to most markets. Mobile TV is already established there for example and a 10mp cameraphone has already been produced.
I would expect even better handsets for the Korean market.
