wheres peoples cheapest places for getting ink then

I'd imagine that laser toner carts cost less per page. Ink cartridges tend to last for only something like 2-300 pages on average, laser toners are at least 10 times that amount, and for the larger industrial sized lasers you get in offices the toners may be expensive but last for tens of thousands of pages! Though all black and white, the colour ones are more expensive but no idea of cost I'm afraid.

If you're going to refill, do it with a HP because there's no problem of f*cking up the print heads. Just don't expect high quality prints...
There are plenty of refilling companies in the UK too.

my dad has this crazy tank thing with pipes that has the ink cartrige for his printer at the end of the pipes so you you just buy the ink in liter bottles. works out very cheap.
its epson printer i think
you can get the tanks and adapter of ebay

Uhmn, sometimes. Bought a £59.99 Epson printer from PC World to replace that HP one and it runs on individual tanks of ink. It's the combined ink heads that push the price up.
Happy now.....
